Mayor Alvin Brown has filed to run for re-election.
The next city elections in Jacksonville are still more than two years away, but Brown has made it official that he will be running for a second term.
He filed with the Supervisor of Elections Office for the 2015 election, running again as a Democrat.
So far, one other candidate has filed. Tiffany Wingo plans to run as a member of the Independence Party.
