Three weeks ago -- when we told you about flooding here... city officials told us this: Two retention ponds at McCoy's Creek were complete in July, 2013. The project was an effort to help alleviate some of the flooding in the area, but not eliminate it. City engineers will continue to research and study the area, which is low-lying and naturally flood-prone, for future options and projects. The city's commmunications manager Debbie Delgado also told us that this isn't a quick fix and that a solution is something that has to be looked into.Meanwhile people are still dealing with the effects of the flooding around here ......021627 MICHAEL GINDRAW/LIVES IN THE AREA: I just brought some property in the area.
