Discovery Material Released In Fatal Shooting On Baymeadows Road
In recently released 911 calls, horrified eyewitnesses describe a shooting in a McDonald's parking lot on Baymeadows Road that left an employee of the restaurant dead.
Raynold Orelus, a Haitian immigrant and father of five, was trying to help his boss from being robbed in February.
Caller: "I think they shot him. Yes, he's laying on the ground, ma'am ... He was helping my manager take the money to the car."
Dispatcher: "Do you think they tried to rob him?"

Caller: "Yes, ma'am ... He has a gunshot wound to his left upper abdomen."
Nesta Walker, 28, is charged in Orelus' killing. Walker's getaway car was rammed by a good Samaritan in the parking lot. He then led police on a chase to a Northwest Jacksonville neighborhood.
Police said Walker was armed with a .357 magnum, a gun that had been reported stolen one month earlier in a residential burglary.
"He's heading (Interstate) 95 northbound in a silver vehicle," an officer said on radio dispatch calls as police were pursuing Walker. "I've got witnesses right here."
Jacksonville sheriff's officers said Walker was after a bank deposit bag that McDonald's manager Wyonester Fisher and Orelus were transporting to Fisher's car.
"I was getting into the car when the suspect came up from behind," Fisher told police. "He was jogging, and I saw the gun. I dropped the bag on the seat inside of the car. The suspect pushed Ray out of the way.
"I told Ray, 'Just give the suspect the bag,' because he was wrestling with him over the money,'" Fisher said. "That's when the suspect shot him ... The guy shot him. He walked up to him and robbed him."
Newly released pictures of Walker from minutes after his capture show scratches and bruises he sustained while jumping from a moving vehicle during the chase.
There was about $3,000 in the bank deposit bag he left behind.
Medical examiners said Orelus was shot in the shoulder and in the heart.
Walker could face the death penalty if convicted.
