Man Robbed Northwest Jacksonville Store Tuesday Morning

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Jacksonville police are looking for a man they said robbed a Metro PCS store in Northwest Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Police said the man walked into the store in the 5500 block of Soutel Drive about 11:30 a.m., looked around and approached the counter holding a silver handgun. Police said he demanded money from the store clerk, and after the clerk gave him money, he left.

Channel 4 obtained video surveillance that showed the suspect speaking with the clerk and then pointing the gun at him. A woman standing nearby then drops to the floor to cover her baby.

The robber is described as a black man about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie and black shoes.
