Minimum wage going up in Florida
Pay for entry-level jobs rising in Florida, 9 other states
Starting Jan. 1, the lowest-paid earners in Florida will see a bump in their paychecks.
Florida is one of 10 states raising its minimum wage. That increase comes with built-in cost of living increases.
Currently, Florida is one of 19 states with minimum wages above the national limit of $7.25/hour.
The state's minimum wage will increase 12 cents, from $7.67/hour to $7.79/hour.
Other states and cities increasing minimum wages starting Jan. 1 include:
- Arizona: $7.80
- Colorado: $7.79
- Missouri: $7.35
- Montana: $7.80
- Ohio: $7.85
- Oregon: $8.95
- Rhode Island: $7.75
- Vermont: $8.60
- Washington: $9.19
- Albuquerque, NM: $8.50
- San Francisco, CA: $10.55
- San Jose, CA: $10.00 (starting in March)
