JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The governor of Mississippi has agreed to extradite Jarred Harrell to Florida. Gov. Charlies Crist made the request Thursday, asking that Harrell be returned to Clay County to face 29 charges of child pornography possession.

Harrell, 24, was arrested last week in Mississippi and has also been named a person of interest in the abduction and murder of Somer Thompson. He has not been charged with any crime in connection to the Somer Thompson investigation and currently only faces the child porn charges.

The day Somer disappeared on her way on from school last October, Harrell lived at a home on Gano Avenue, only a few doors down from where the 7-year-old girl was last seen. Her body was found in a south Georgia landfill two days later.

Harrell is expected to be returned to Clay County early next week.
