Motorcyclist dies in Putnam County

A motorcyclist lost control and died near State Road 100 and State Road 26 in Putnam County on Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Woodrow Demoure, 58, of Old Town, drove from the Howling Wolf Bar onto State Road 26 shortly after 7 p.m., according to troopers. He lost control of his Harley Davidson, went across the road, rolled over and was ejected onto the roadway.

Demoure was not wearing a helmet, according to the FHP report. An investigation is ongoing.
