Deputies in St. Johns County are investigating after a 26-year-old motorcyclist was struck by an SUV and seriously injured in Ponte Vedra late Sunday night.

Deputies said the motorcyclist, Jason Jones, of Ponte Vedra, was leaving the parking lot of a McDonald's on State Road A1A North and turned into the path of the SUV.

Jones was flown to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. He is in stable condition.

The SUV was driven by 22-year-old Hanna Hayden, of Ponte Vedra.
