The Florida Highway Patrol says a motorcycle went out of control and crashed sometime late Saturday or early Sunday morning in a wooded area along U.S. Highway 1 in Flagler County.
The rider's body was spotted about 10 a.m. Sunday. Investigators believe the crash happened Saturday evening, but no one spotted the wreckage until the next morning.
Troopers say it appears the motorcycle was headed north when it overturned a couple of times before crashing along the northbound lanes of U.S. 1 just south of Royal Palms Parkway.
The FHP is still investigating the crash. The driver's identity is pending an autopsy by the medical examiner.
