Two people on a motorcycle were injured in a crash in St. Johns County early Saturday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Ryan Kiester, 32, was driving a Harley Sportster down Dobbs Road at 3:30 Saturday morning, when he lost control and skidded 47 feet before overturning, according to FHP. Kiester and his passenger, Heather Camacho, 32, were thrown from the motorcycle.
The motorcycle continued to slide 214 feet onto a shoulder, where it struck a parked motorcycle that was unoccupied.
Kiester was transported to Orange Park Medical Center in critical condition, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue. Camancho was transported to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries.
Kiester was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to the FHP report. Neither was wearing a helmet, FHP said.
