After an extended investigation, a multiagency law enforcement operation on Monday shut down what they described as a drug-trafficking operation that was distributing cocaine across north Florida and south Georgia.
Officials said more than 200 grams of cocaine were seized in Suwannee County with an estimated street value of $8,000. Agents also made several arrests in Suwannee and Leon counties in Florida and Lowndes County, Ga.
Working with the Lake City Police Department, the Suwannee County Drug Task Force, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Columbia County Sheriff's Office deputies with the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force, executed a search warrant in Columbia County.
