3 Good Evening everyone. Around the country and locally, those helping to roll out the new health law are facing some big challenges.. And they're not the only ones. Business owners and individuals say they are having trouble finding information. Channel 4's Alicia Booth joins us LIVE now from UF Health with some information to help us all "navigate" our way to complying with this new law. 3 3 I'm here at UF Health because, starting next week, there will be a navigator here to help people sign up. The group responsible for overseeing the navigators for our area says the licensing process has taken longer than expected. In fact, so has signing up and getting information.. it has a lot of people frustrated. 3 00-0533-3748-531:14-1:19As the owner of River City Security Services, Ann Freeman manages more than 100 employees.. but now she is right in the middle of figuring out how to "manage" the impact of the Affordable Care Act on those employees. "It's probably the most difficult challenge I've had as a business owner."She says she'd like tell her employees what's going to happen over the next year, but the information to make a decision just isn't there yet. She wishes she could focus more on day-to-day operations and incentives, which is what she loves. "We've had to shift a lot of that attention and time and energy towards figuring out how we're going to deal with this mandate."Liberty Tax on Blanding Blvd in Jacksonville is holding free seminars on the new law.Tax preparer Denise Foley has learned a lot in the last month."Studying, researching and a lot of documents, a lot of web sites, everything I can get my hands on. I'm finding that all the answers are just not out there yet."And that's where people like Tatiana Ramirez come in. She is a dentist, and ALSO a full time navigator who just got licensed .. ready to start helping people enroll next week. She knows it will be a challenge with all of the trouble people have had signing up online. "I don't wnat them to be discouraged because of the slow results.I believe that everything is going to improve." 3 You mentioned small business owners feeling the deadline pressure.. but their mandate was delayed by a year. When do businesses have to figure out their strategy?
