No students were injured when a pickup truck rear-ended a stopped school bus carrying 25 high schoolers Friday afternoon in Clay County.
State troopers said the bus was stopped eastbound on Russell Road at the railroad tracks about 2 p.m. when the pickup driven by 44-year-old Jason Orlando, of Green Cove Springs, was also heading eastbound and proceeded to make a left turn, failing to notice the bus stopped.
Troopers said the front of the pickup struck the rear of the bus.
Orlando was charged with careless driving.
