A man was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with life-threatening injuries early Sunday after crashing his motorcycle on New Berlin Rd.

Police said the man failed to negotiate a curve when he then crashed his motorcycle into a fence. No other vehicles were involved at the time, and police don't know if speed or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

The name and age of the victim have not been released and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
