Novitas Solutions brings 200 jobs to Jax

Florida Blue executives, Mayor Alvin Brown and other Jacksonville officials will gather Wednesday to announce the creation of 200 new full-time jobs in the River City via Florida Blue's subsidiary Novitas Solutions Inc.

The new positions are the result of a Medicare administration contract recently awarded to Novitas Solutions, which currently serves as the Medicare Administrative Contractor for Jurisdiction 12, encompassing Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C.

With the new contract, Novitas also becomes the Medicare Administrative Contract for Jurisdiction H, which covers Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.

Novitas Solutions Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diversified Service Options, a holding company, wholly-owned by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida Inc. It provides administrative services processing for government-sponsored health care programs on behalf of the federal government.
