Palatka man, 41, convicted of molesting girl

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -

A 41-year-old Palatka man was convicted Wednesday in a one-day trial of molesting a girl from the time she was 9 to 11.

Mark Fowler was found guilty of lewd or lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12.

The jury deliberated for less than an hour.

Fowler is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 2. He faces 25 years to life in prison.
