Palatka man, 42, gets life for molesting girl

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -

A 42-year-old Palatka man was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison for molesting a girl from the time she was 9 to 11.

Mark Fowler was found guilty in November of lewd or lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12.

The jury deliberated for less than an hour after a one-day trial.

Wednesday was Fowler's birthday.
