After a two day trial, a Putnam County jury deliberated for less than 40 minutes Thursday before finding a 44-year-old Palm Coast man guilty of lewd or lascivious molestation of a child between the ages of 12 and 16, a second-degree felony.
Michael Canaday was also convicted of sexual activity with a child, a first-degree felony.
Prosecutors said Canaday would go into the girl's bedroom and wake her up and molest her in a home in Putnam County.
The crimes happened between August 2004 and July 2008.
Canaday faces up to 45 years in prison. He is expected to be sentenced sometime in October.
