A 33-year-old Palm Coast man died early Friday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle on U.S. Highway 1 just north of Kankakee Trail.

Troopers said John Michael Robinson was riding his 2008 Harley Davidson north at 12:22 a.m. when the motorcycle left its lane and entered the grass median.  According to the FHP report, Robinson lost control as he tried to re-enter the road and the motorcycle overturned, ejecting him.

Robinson was transported to Flagler Hospital Flagler, where he died.

Troopers said blood-alcohol tests are pending, which is routine in this type of crash investigation.
