A 48-year-old Palm Coast motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into a car that pulled into his lane late Wednesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on Whiteview Parkway and Rolling Sands Drive shortly after 10 p.m.
According to the FHP report, Shelby Cuccurullo, 21, was stopped at the intersection, and Pedro Rieva was riding east on Whiteview Parkway on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Troopers said Cuccurullo did not see Rieva and entered the intersection to make a left-hand turn. Rieva struck Cuccurullo and was ejected.
Rieva was transported to Flagler Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Troopers said the investigation was still under way and charges are pending.
