A 29-year-old man died Monday night after being struck by a car at the intersection of San Juan Avenue and Jammes Road.
Jacksonville-Fire Rescue confirmed the pedestrian died at Shands Jacksonville after being transported from the scene just before 10 p.m. The driver and passenger in the Ford Mustang were not injured. They were interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol and the accident report says charges are pending.
The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, but troopers said he was a Jacksonville resident.
