A person was shot twice at the Oak Tree Apartments in the Hillcrest area early Friday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The complex is located on Lake Shore Boulevard, not far from the Murray Hill area.

The victim was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center. The victim's condition was not immediately known.

No suspects were in custody.
