Officers Looking For 2 Last Seen In Gold Lexus

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Jacksonville police said an 84-year-old woman was taken from her home on Grand Lakes Drive by her son Wednesday evening.

Police said Mary Dotson, the victim, is a diabetic who suffers from a heart condition and dementia.

Witnesses said they overheard her son Richard Dotson, 63, saying that he wanted his mother to live with him.

Police said Richard Dotson suffers from a bipolar disorder and has been placed on medication for the disorder by his physician, however, he refuses to take his medication.

Officers said Mary Dotson was being taken care of by other family members when her son came to her home and took her away. Police said Richard Dotson told his mother's caretakers that he was going to take care of his mom.

Police said Richard Dotson is 5-feet 3-inches tall and 240 pounds with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt and unknown-colored pants.

Officers said Mary Dotson has brown eyes and blond hair and was last seen wearing a turquoise jacket, red shirt and pants and black shoes.

Police said the two were last seen in a gold Lexus LS430 being driven by Richard Dotson. The Florida tag is 179WMK.
