Police: Drunk dad picks up son from jail
Son arrested on suspicion of drunken driving
A father in suburban Philadelphia was arrested after police said he drove drunk to pick up his son who had been arrested on DUI charges.
Timothy Smith arrived at the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Media, Penn., at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday and told troopers that he was there to pick up his son, who had been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, the Philadelphia Daily News reported.
However, troopers took one whiff of Smith and deduced that he had been imbibing himself, according to the Daily News.
Police arrested Smith on DUI charges and put him in jail with his son.
It's unknown who picked the two of them up.
