Police: Man Kills Woman In Southside Apartment
21-Year-Old Victim Was A Friend
Published On: Oct 14 2011 02:32:12 PM EDT Updated On: Jul 03 2007 10:22:10 AM EDTPolice have arrested Jermaine Wilson on charges of murder and sexual battery in the case of a woman found dead in a Southside apartment on Saturday morning.
Wilson, 23, is accused of raping and strangling 21-year-old Dominique Harden in the 2300 block of Westmont Street.
A friend found Harden's body and called police about 9 a.m.
During the investigation, police learned that Wilson was a friend of Harden and one of the last people seen with her.
Homicide detectives brought Wilson in for questioning on Monday. During the interview, Wilson confessed to killing Harden.
Police said Wilson has previous arrests for lewd and lascivious molestation and multiple driving violations.
Wilson was ordered held without bond. He will be arraigned on July 24.
