ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -

After spending most of August investigating a case of financial fraud, St. Augustine police have arrested a woman on two counts of uttering a forged document.

Teresa Lampp, also known as Teresa Robinson, is accused of uttering forged documents for $10,776.13.

Police said the Thompson Bailey Baker Insurance Group contacted them when it was notified when a suspicious check from its business account was cashed.

The insurance group conducted its own internal investigation and found a second check had been cashed against its account, police said. The group felt it needed to call police and report its findings, police said.

Police said that's when they began to build their case against Lampp.

Lampp met with detectives Tuesday and denied all allegations against her, police said.

Lampp was then arrested and taken to the St. Johns County Jail.
