Police are investigating a smash-and-grab burglary at a Dollar General store on the Westside.

The theft happened at 3 a.m. Wednesday at the store in the 700 block of Edgewood Avenue North.

The thieves were caught on surveillance taking a safe with $3,000 in it.

Police said surveillance cameras captured the crime.

The video, which hasn't been released yet, showed two men using a pickup truck to ram the store.
