Man found lying in street, dies at hospital

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are investigating after a man was found lying in the street and later died at a hospital Friday afternoon.

Investigators said neighbors heard multiple gunshots sometime before noon and went outside to find 25-year-old George Ware lying in the 1500 block of West 35th Street.

Ware was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, where he died.

Police said at the scene they did not have any suspects and were still interviewing and looking for more witnesses.
