Police in Jacksonville were investigating after a shootout in Murray Hill on Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the 1000 block of Nelson Street about 10:30 a.m. They said two people apparently fired multiple rounds at each other, judging from shell casings found in the road.
One resident said he heard 30-40 gunshots.
Police said it's uncertain if anyone was hit, and no one was found who was involved in the shooting.
Police have alerted hospitals in case someone shows up with a gunshot wound.
