Police in Jacksonville are trying to determine if some bones found at an apparent dumping ground for animal remains are human.
The discovery was made by a detective working a missing persons case after receiving a tip that led to a wooded area in the 12600 block of Braddock Road in Northwest Jacksonville.
The animal remains found are probably the carcasses of deer and wild hog kills that were cleaned by hunters, police said.
The Medical Examiner was called to the seen to determine if there were human remains.
