3 This northside crash, involving a motorcycle was the fourth of its kind, we've seen just this week. It's serving as an unfortunate reminder of just how many have occurred...not only in Florida...but here in Jacksonville too. So far this year, there have been more than 10-thousand motorcycle crashes statewide. About 350 of those were deadly. In Duval County-- there have been more than 500 this year... 19 people were killed in those crashes. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the man was travelling Southbound on Campus Boulevard on FSCJ's north campus around 8:35 a.m. Friday, when this black Dodge Charger pulled out in front of him, causing him to run into the left rear of the car.The Charger was driven by a woman who didn't see the motorcylist coming. 3 3 The first was Wednesday morning when 47-year-old Steven Gott struck a railroad crossing arm being tested on Zoo Parkway. Prepro here The second was Thursday night -- 22-year-old William Cooperlost control on I-195 and hit a guard rail. And the third was Friday morning when 25- year-old Michael Johnstone lost control on a ramp of the Acosta Bridge and was thrown off the bride to the train tracks below.All 3 of those crashes were deadly.SOT - 5120 motorcycles are hard to see so based on their size and lighting equipment and so forth it takes a second glance if you will just make sure the coast is clear when making lane changes and entering intersections and so forth TRACK - Sgt.
