JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

It's being called a literary and culinary adventure that you can participate in with Channel 4's very own Rebecca Barry.

Barry and co-host Ron Block joined forces to offer readers a unique and exciting way to enjoy good books with friends. "A Book and a Cook" is the first of it's kind on The Morning Show.

"Every month we will pick a new book and chat about it on Facebook. We read fantastic books and prepare delicious recipes inspired by books while we discuss and enjoy" said Block.

"Some are my favorite things are reading and cooking, so the combination is just natural" Barry added.

All of the books Block and Barry will be introducing have a connection to food, whether it is recipes or the correlation between food and family heritage.

The first book in this new initiative is called "The Book Thief" -- a novel by Australian author Markus Zusak. The book is set in Nazi Germany and describes a young girl's relationship with her foster parents and the other residents in their neighborhood.

On February 2, Barry and Block will launch a Facebook chat about the book and on February 16, the two will cook a surprise recipe from the book during The Morning Show.

"This is going to be a interactive experience we are looking forward to with our viewers," Barry said. "Check out our Facebook page and get in on the good reading and the conversation."
