3 The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office says they're waiting right now for the medical examiner to determine IF the remains are those of a person. The discovery was made during a controlled burn in Guana State Park. Investigators will be there until nightfall .. looking for evidence. The medical examiner is here to review those remains to determine if they are a human remains or animal remains. Deputies say they strongly believe that these are human remains but they Are disclosing what they consist of.They say they have been here for an extended period of time.I asked investigator what happens next if they are determined to be human. 3 Investigators say it is too early to say if this is suspicious.
