JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Medical Examiner has confirmed one set of human remains was found among the animal carcasses discovered Wednesday in a wooded area in Northwest Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The discovery was made by a detective during the course of a missing persons investigation. The detective received a tip that led to the site in the 12600 block of Braddock Road.

The remains have not yet been identified.
