A Westside daycare director is charged with child abuse, accused of hitting a boy under her supervision, according to the Florida-Times Union.

Shelia Rose was arrested Saturday and released on bond a few hours later.

Department of Children and Families officials told Channel 4 they are investigating the Small Blessings Learning Center on Blanding Boulevard

The child reportedly went home with a black eye and the boy's aunt told police he had been punched.

The Times-Union reported that surveillance video of the incident helped investigators identify Rose, 30.

Rose has been fired since the incident, according to DCF.
