JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

SMG, the company that runs EverBank Field, has issued a new proposal for the city to manage its sports facilities, along with the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts and the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

SMG says it will run the facilities for $150,000 per year for five years. It also guarantees $8.5 million to the city in food service profits over the term.

The competing bid is from Global Spectrum. Its bid is $300,000 per year for four years and nine months, with yearly incentives fees that could earn the company an additional $300,000.

Global says it will also invest $1.5 million in capital investment, which could lead to a new scoreboard at EverBank Field.

SMG has managed Jacksonville's facilities for 20 years.

The Jaguars want to keep SMG as the managing company.
