JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Several used cars were damaged early Tuesday morning when a car ran through a Chevrolet dealership lot on Atlantic Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff Road.

The amount of damage to vehicles at George Moore Chevrolet wasn't immediately known.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 27-year-old William West II was driving west on Atlantic in the left lane when he lost control for reasons unknown. West's Lincoln Navigator veered to the left across the turn lane and onto the concrete median.

When the SUV struck the median, West oversteered to the right, and the SUV began to spin and overturned, state troopers said. It came to rest on its roof on top of two vehicles parked in the car dealership.

Troopers said flying debris from the SUV also caused damage to two other vehicles in the lot.

West was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with minor injuries.

Troopers said charges are pending blood alcohol content results.

West's SUV was towed from the scene.
