Two people died and another is in extremely critical condition after their SUV went into a lake off Interstate 95 near Deerfield Beach, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The lone survivor of Wednesday night's crash is a woman in her 20's, according to FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky who spoke with the South Florida SunSentinel.
Police and divers searched the area and pulled two women and one man from the water.
It's estimated that the victims were in their early 20's, Broward County Department of Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said.
Jachles said one of the women was in cardiac arrest but was resuscitated by rescuers before being transported to the hospital.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, which involved three vehicles.
FHP has not released the identities of the victims.
