JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Sensitive school documents a local man found along the side of a road were safely returned to school officials Monday.

Jill Johnson, of the Duval County School Board, came to Channel 4's studios to pick up what looked like a bag of trash.

But really inside the bag were mostly report cards of former Lee High School students that date back to the mid- and late-1980s.

Full names and Social Security numbers were printed on the documents.

Charlie Bonacci contacted Channel 4 after he found the bag off McDuff Avenue in Northwest Jacksonville.

The School Board said it has launched an investigation to determine how the old documents made it to the side of the road and if anyone's personal information was compromised.
