3 Hello everyone. The man convicted in a road rage shooting ..is now learning how long he'll spend behind bars. The sentencing comes just four days after he apologized to the victim's family. Brad Lippincott returned to court this afternoon, for the conclusion of his sentencing. Last year, he shot Kahron Warnke after a dispute on the roads. Warnke's daughter was in the car at the time... and witnessed her father's death. Channel 4's Hailey Winslow was inside the courtroom for the hearing... and joins us now live. Hailey? 3 3 3 We got new details today into how this road rage shooting happened...Brad Lippincott moved here from Gainesville to be a minister...He was a mile from his new home with his SUV piled highm so he didn't know he cut someone off on 103rd ... They got into an argument at the light, which continued in a nearby Bonos BBQ parking lot. Warnke spit on his window...Then Lippincott who said he feared for his safety, fired his gun 7 times ...hitting Warnke from behind. Warnke drove down the street, crashed into a house, and died. 3 00-0608-1920-2230-4051-5859- 106112-120121-132136-145146- 147 Defendant Brad Lippincott walked into court under a negotiated agreement with the state... on the basis, of waiving the florida sentencing guidelines... Before Judge Virginia Norton sentenced Lippincott, she praised victim, Kahron Warnke's fiance, for the way she's acted in court ... Norton said Shaniqua Brown sets an example for all of us ... ...not only forgiving Lippincott, but making it known, her fiance was also an aggressor in the incident. Judge Norton said while thinking about the appropriate sentence, she took into account Lippincott's willingness to fully cooperate with police throughout the entire investigation... Norton believes Lippincott, who has no criminal record, is truly remorseful... And with that, she adjudicated him guilty ... I spoke with Lippincott's pastor and a woman from his church who said Lippincott leads every bible study in prison ...and he's already touched so many lives in the nearly two years he's been there. 3 Hailey, Lippincott will be released from prison in about another 6 years. Then what?He will have two years of what's called "community control" followed by 3 years of probation...And as part of his probation, Lippincott willingly agreed to contribute $1,000 to a fund to help Warnke's daughter continue her education.The then-8 year old was in the car with Warnke during the incident and watched her dad die.
