Soldier home in time for birthday
Johnny Earl Frambo II returns home from Afghanistan.
A Jacksonville soldier's birthday wish came true this year.
He arrived home after a one-year tour in Afghanistan to be welcomed by his entire family.
Specialist Four Johnny Earl Frambo II graduated from Wolfson High School in 2006 and joined the Army in June 2010.
He was based for one year at Fort Knox in Kentucky, which is where his father also served, before being deployed to Afghanistan.
Just in time for his birthday in March, he returned home to his loved ones.
"Just doing what I can for my country, and I'm glad to be back home," Frambo said.
The Frambo family said they are always supportive of each other.
"We prayed for one year, an entire year, that God would bring him back home," said his mother," Nina Frambo.
The military-based family said they are extremely proud of their soldier and are enjoying the time they will get to spend with him.
"I'm so happy. I'm so elated, I haven't slept in two or three nights waiting for him to come home," said Frambo's mom. "He looks so good. I'm so proud of him."
