St. Augustine jogger hit by car

44-year-old in serious condition at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -

A 44-year-old jogger was transported to the hospital Friday evening after he was hit by a car.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said 33-year-old Travis Chidester was driving a 2004 Kia on S. Whitney St. when he hit jogger, Richard Warner.  The accident happened around 6:30 p.m.

Warner was transported to Flagler Hospital before being transferred to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with serious injuries.

Investigators are still trying to determine the factors that caused the crash.
