With several members of the St. Augustine Police Department fighting cancer, a number of officers will show solidarity by shaving their heads Friday in hopes of raising $5,000 for the stricken officers' medical expenses.
A portion of the proceeds of their Shave to Save fundraiser will also be donated to cancer research in the officers' names.
People may donate using credit or debit cards by visiting the St. Augustine Police Benevolent Organization’s fundraiser site.
Donations can also be made by check or cash, payable to SAPBO and mailed or dropped off at 151 King Street in St. Augustine.
