Police Say Man Involved In Fla. Robberies Arrested In Georgia
Published On: Oct 14 2011 02:14:58 PM EDT Updated On: Jan 25 2010 04:50:40 AM ESTStarke police said a man accused of attempting to rob a Winn-Dixie on Jan. 12 and robbing additional pharmacies since has been arrested.
Police said Joshua Head demanded OxyContin and Percocet from employees and made threatening statements implying he had a firearm.
Police said Head failed to obtain the narcotics and fled the store.
Officers said since the robbery attempt, Head robbed other pharmacies, including one in Ocala.
Investigators said Head was located on Thursday in a Dublin, Ga., motel room with approximately 31 pill bottles in his possession and was arrested by U.S. marshals.
Head is charged with attempted robbery and two counts of aggravated assault.
