3 Good evening. A father and son are reunited after quite a scare when investigators say the 4-year-old's babysitter took the boy to South Florida last night -- WITHOUT telling the father. To make matters worse -- deputies say she was under the influence of alcohol. She is currently in jail in Brevard County but she will face charges in Bradford County as well -- where the incident happened. Channel 4's Elizabeth Campbell talked to police and neighbors about the scary incident and joins us LIVE in studio with more on how this family is doing. 3 3 Investigators say dealing with a missing child is always a very emotional task. The Bradford County Sheriff's Office AND the father of this 4-year-old boy are so thankful he is safe -- especially after learning police say the baby sitter was impaired. 3 52-581'29-1'33TRACK - This is a picture of 4-year-old Aiden Waters and his dad Kenneth Friday afternoon when they were brought back together in Brevard County after quite a scary 12 hours. This woman -- 25-year-old Jessica Cox was babysitting Aiden while his dad was at work. When Kenneth returned home around 5 o'clock Thursday, the baby sitter and his son were no where to be found. Kenneth wasn't able to get ahold of Cox -- the only communication she gave him was through a couple of random text messages -- one that said PRE PRO - "you called my dad after Kenneth was so desperate to find his son he contacted her friends and family.TRACK - He finally contacted the Bradford County Sheriff's Office around 11 o'clock Thursday night. Shortly after wards a missing child alert was issued for 4-year-old Aiden.Detectives quickly learned Cox had left Bradford County with Aiden to go with her boyfriend to St. Lucy.SOT - 3451 while we were putting the missing child alert out through fdle we received word from palm bay PD that they did a traffic stop on the baby sitter made an arrest on her for DUI found the child in the car safe and sound TRACK - Captain Brad Smith with Bradford County says the Palm Bay Police Department were led to Cox after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle driving erratically.Captain Smith says it's a relief Aiden was found safe -- and so does the man who lives next door who was awakened at 6 a.m.with a knock on his door from the sheriff's office.SOT - 4134 i knew it wasnt necessarily a neighborhood problem but it was a big concern you dont want anyone coming in your neighborhood taking anyones kids Cox is being held in the Brevard County jail with bond facing a DUI charge -- and will eventually be brought back to the Bradford County jail where she will face additional charges. 3 Elizabeth, what additional charges will she face in Bradford? And could she face any other charges in Brevard other than the DUI charge? ANSWER - Captain Smith with Bradford County says they've placed a hold on her and will get a judge to sign a warrant for for child neglect and interfering with child custody. She'll face those charges when she is brought back to Bradford County. As for Brevard County -- she faces that DUI charge now and Smith says they could also charge her with child neglect if they decide to pursue that.
