Macclenny is cleaning up damage from yesterday's quick, but powerful storm -- known as a pulse-storm. Two families who live within just a couple of miles of each other got hit the hardest. Trees fell on each home, sending one man to the hospital. Channel 4's Elizabeth Campbell talked to the owners of the homes and has more on what's next for these families. 3 3 00-0515-2048-5657-1:041:30- 1:33SOT - 45:48 when it came it came like a locomotive like it came it went it was within a five minute period TRACK - Macclenny native Donald Thigpen is used to storms in his small town but has never seen anything THIS bad.SOT - 46:12 it tore up everything in my backyard. I've lived here all my life and it's the worst ive ever seen it in macclenny in 51 years.TRACK - Not only did Thigpen's property get hit, a tree fell on the house across the street, sending the man who lives there to the hospital. Karl Robson's uncle owns the house and Robinson came to look at the damage Friday morning because his uncle is out of town. He says the man who was sent to the hospital is an elderly veteran who lives with his wife. Robinson and his uncle are worried because they haven't been able to track down the man who lives there to see if he and his wife are okay.SOT - 43:52 just fear for the actual tenant that was staying in this apartment. Just trying to find out where he is staying so we can maybe send our condolences to him and his family.BRIDGE - 50:27 Unfortunately the tree isn't the only damage to the home. As you can see, we've got downed power lines laying all across the yard and you can also see the damage to the siding of the home.TRACK - Just a couple miles down the road, a tree fell on Tod Weathington's home. This was not the first time this same tree fell on their house -- last year it split in half, causing one side to crash into his home. Yesterday, what was left of the tree fell on a different part of the house. Weathington said he would have removed the tree last year, but it was too expensive.SOT - 53:04 if it was so easy to take that tree down i would have took it down a long time ago.SOT - 46:59 macclenny is a good community. everybody comes together and tries to help everybody out when they can. im just glad that the man there didnt get killed.LKL TAG - 49:06 The owner is hoping the man or his wife will see this story and contact them to let them know he is ok.
