PALM COAST, Fla. -

A 17-year-old Matanzas High School was arrested Thursday on a felony arson charge following a fire in a school bathroom Tuesday afternoon.

Flagler County deputies said Joshua Lowe, of Palm Coast, was caught on surveillance video entering the boy's restroom in the cafeteria of the high school at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday. At 3:44 p.m, he was seen leaving the restroom, and at 3:48 p.m., sprinklers for the fire system went on because of the fire in the restroom, deputies said.

School officials said no one else was seen entering the restroom during that time frame, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said that at the time of the fire, about 50 students were inside the cafeteria. No one was injured and damage was estimated at $1,000.

Lowe was arrested and taken to the Division of Youth Services in Daytona Beach.
