The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the subject of an overnight search by homicide investigators was located, but police could provide no details of the ongoing investigation.

Homicide detectives were called out to the 3000 block of Julington Creek Road around 1 a.m.

Air units, K9 teams and ground units from both Jacksonville and the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office searched wooded areas and the river, as well as surrounding buildings and homes in the area.

Just after 8 a.m., JSO Public Information Officer Shannon Hartley released a statement saying the subject they were looking for was found.

"This is an active and ongoing investigation and no additional details are available at this time," Hartley said.
