Woman accused of possible abuse of special needs students

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A teacher's aide at Abess Park Elementary School has been removed from the classroom over allegations of improper discipline and possible abuse of special needs students.

The Department of Children and Families was notified first of the allegations against the woman, whose name wasn't released.

DCF personnel met with the principal and recommended the teacher's aide have no further contact with students pending the outcome of the investigation.

Both the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the state attorney's office have been advised of the allegations.
