WE DIDN'T GET A BLOCKBUSTER, MUST-HAVE SMARTPHONE OR TABLET OUT OF THIS YEAR'S SHOW. BUT WHAT WE DID GET A VARIETY OF NEW TRENDS AND ACCESSORIES AIMED AT MAKING YOUR MOBILE LIFE A LOT EASIER.
THOSE SEARCHING C-E-S FOR THE NEXT SINGULAR SMARTPHONE SENSATION , DIDN'T REALLY FIND IT.
"We didn't really see the next big thing here this time. There's some incremental improvements. The screens on smartphones are a little bit bigger. Samsung was showing off some bigger smartphones, and cleaner screens with more apps, and notably developer kits. Basically ways to put more software on smartphones."
SOFTWARE INTEGRATED WITH YOUR CAR AND YOUR HOME, AND CUTE, COLORFUL ACCESSORIES TO MAKE YOUR PHONE MORE FUNCTIONAL.
EVEN THIS IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY FROM LIQUIPEL IN CASE YOUR PHONE TAKES A DUNK.
ANOTHER TREND ... PRODUCTS THAT GIVE USERS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. SMARTPHONE SCREENS THAT ALMOST BORDER ON TABLET-SIZE... AND TABLETS THAT BORDER ON SOME LAPTOP FUNCTIONS.
"Now you don't have to decide between having a tablet and having a PC. Or, even worse, carrying both. With one deivce like this, I can carry just one thing, and have a PC and a tablet when I need it."
IN MY HAND HERE, ONE OF INTEL'S CONVERTIBLE ULTRABOOKS. THE IDEA IS THAT USERS CAN FLIP OUT THIS KEYBOARD WHEN THEY NEED IT, AND FOLD IT BACK LIKE A TABLET WHEN THEY'RE DONE.
